Pick Szeged Handball Team signed a three and half year contract with Swedish Olympic Games silver medalist left wing player, Jonas Källman. The player, who already won Champions League three times, is going to join the team this weekend.
The Management of Pick Szeged was having talks with the Danish CHJ Management agency during the last few days. During these talks name of Jonas Kallman and the possibility of his playing in the two times Hungarian champion team also turned up.
- We signed a three and half year contract with the player who is going to arrive at Szeged this weekend. He sees the Hungarian participation as a big challenge, he was very happy about the interest and the fact that he could be the player of Pick Szeged which team is well-known in Europe. He could hear only good news about the Team, the Management, the fantastic Audience and the Trainer, Juan Carlos Pastor from Jonas Larholm. Thanks to the correct and helpful Management of IFK Skövde HK, the agreement was realised very fast and the world class handball player was allowed to leave. Jonas Källman is able to play in Hungarian Championship, Hungarian Cup and EHF Cup as well. Now, we are working on his documents, probably he is going to be able to play in Pick Szeged next week against Csurgó- said Mezei Richárd, CEO of Pick Kézilabda Zrt.
Jonas Källman was born on 17th of July 1981. He is 2 meters high, he had been playing in IFK Skövde from 2000 to 2002. Then he moved to Spain where first he was player of Ciudad Real from 2002 to 2011 then he played for Atletico Madrid from 2011 to 2013. Last summer he moved back to Sweden. In 2012, he won Olympic Games silver medal with Swedish national team. He won Champions League with Ciudad Real three times. This season he returned to his home country, he participated at the European Championship with his national team in Denmark.
- I am very happy that I am going to have chance to play in Szeged. A very quick and hopefully fruitful decision has been made for both sides. I hope I will be able to help Pick Szeged both in Hungarian and international competitions during the next three and half years. said Jonas Källman.
